Employees: 600+ IT Sites: 16 The IT Dept of CODB plays a vital role in the city’s ability to communicate efficiently to the public, manage communication lines between city officials, and in providing system support and integration to all city service departments, especially key departments such as the Police, Fire, Public Works, and the Utilities Departments.Daytona Beach is a city in Volusia County, Florida, USA. According to 2006 U.S. Census Bureau estimates, has a population of 64,421. The request to author a disaster recover plan is due to the CODB IT Management having an official document outlining the process to recover IT systems from external forces (i.e. Extreme Weather Conditions), Power Failure, System Failure and Hardware Failure. Including:1. Having a standard document of compliance listing procedures for IT employees to follow in case of system and/or communication failure. 2. Outline Core IT Systems / Document Recovery Process 3. Document the chain of command in the IT Dept / Department Structure / Employees 4. Collect and Document current contact list for all IT staff (Address, Home Phone, Cell) 5. Provide Diagrams / Illustrations as necessary

Examine existing documents provided by CODB pertaining to Disaster Recovery Planning/Strategy
Outline restoration process for all core systems
Document system wide level event failure in cases of: Power Failure, Hardware / Server Failure, Network Failure
Deliver 2nd draft for review
Phase #3Meet with IT Staff - Gather specific Restoration/Planning Data to be included in Documentation
Include Visio Diagrams of existing systems located at 4 primary sites:
City Hall, Police Department, Utilities Facility, Waste Water Facility
Tour Sites to gather information (If Necessary)
