Architect of Disaster Recovery Process
Wrote 45 command scripts to automatically execute a redundant copy of data; one for each server in our satellite offices. Also, using Backup Exec 2010, a fully functioning clone of all of our corporate servers was made and stored locally and offsite on a daily basis. Based on this system all of our data, corporate wide, was protected with a redundant backup copy, totaling 2.5 tb per night. In case of emergency, the IT Department has a list of procedures to enact to protect against data loss. Off site backup storage and replication servers are in place and ready in case of system failure due to catastrophic events.

This document outlines the management in all matters pertaining to the efficient administration of Katsur Management Group (KMG) and subsidiaries: Colosimo Dental & Orthodontics (CDO), Greenberg Dental & Orthodontics (GDO), Katsur Dental & Orthodontics (KDO), Ulery Dental & Orthodontics (UDO), and Custom Dental Laboratories (CDL).
KMG Data / Network Infrastructure Chart
Outlined the Infrastructure of all IT Related Systems. This includes our Frame Relay Circuit, Servers and the Network at all of our satellite offices, IP Address of all computers statically assigned, Internal Servers and their roles, and the future growth plan for the IT Dept as a whole. This was printed on a chart 36”x48” using my AutoCad expertise.
Authored Guidelines for the IT Dept. required monthly maintenance
The KMG Monthly Departmental (IT) required standard procedures of operations done before the end of every month. Furthermore, specifying specific roles for An It Director, a Network Administrator, a Database Administrator, Tele-communications Engineer and two helpdesk personnel.
Database Administration:
Acquisitions Data Management
Due to the undertaking of acquiring new offices, I assumed the role of converting data from the offices acquired into Denrix. Converted data needed to be thoroughly checked for consistency and stability pre-pending use.
Content Management Systems:
Re-Organization of all KMG Forms
Managed staff of 3 employees and converted all 215 office forms into PDF format. Using Dynamic PDF’s users are now allowed to open the forms on our internal website, type information directly onto the forms and e-mail the forms directly to our administration building. Previously, forms had to be hand written and faxed.
Process Automation / Project Management:
Re-Negotiated our Dentrix Support Contract (Software)
Abra Suite / Kronos / Dentrix / Great Plains Integration (Accounting, Billing, Human Resources)
Successfully automated daily data transfers to and from KMG corporate software databases listed above. From Dentrix, (C-tree Database) through automatically generated .txt files into Great Plains and Abra Suite. These Database Systems needed to share up to daye information between them. Using SQL Replication and SQL Server agent I was able to create a “midway” database, 
which when queried for information by another database, the current information and correct would be available. This alleviated the task of printing reports from one software system, only to have someone manually enter the results in to another.

Researched, Installed, and supported Dentrix 10.0/10.5/11.0 Integrated with Claim-Connect.
Automated Transference of Fee Schedules to 32 Offices Daily
Process used to take 2 hours manually once per week. Now is done Automatically Daily.
Automated KMG Patient List (KMG Billing Dept.)
Dentrix/User Created Text Files are imported into SQL using DTS and ASP Pages. This process is used to retrieve any Patients Name, Address, Chart No, SSAN, Phone In all 32 of our offices in no less then 2.5 seconds. This process took 4.5 hours manually. Now is done once per week automatically with an overall processing time of 7 minutes. Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Developers Edition.
Systems Virtualization:
Server Farm Virtualization
Using VMWare, the leading software in server virtualization, I successfully converted 14 corporate servers into 2 IBM x3650 Quad Core w/ 16 gig Ram servers running VMWare Server ESX 3.5 and Virtural Infrastructure Client. I proposed this project to management providing cost benefit, minimal server downtime, performance analysis scenarios, and a disaster recovery plan. In 3 weeks all servers were converted with users noticing a dramatic increase in performance. The physical server boxes were used as spare servers for our satellite locations. From the IT administration standpoint VMWare is essential in server management and resource management.

Terminal Server Configuration (Windows Server 2003/2008)
All of our satellite office users can now access other offices through terminal server via the web. This means that multiple users can access any of our locations to enter / edit / view the appropriate information.

On-Line Insurance Verification (KMG Billing Dept, GDA, KDA, UDO)
Negotiated with co-operating Insurance companies (those having the correct network infrastructure) to provide all 32 of our offices with the ability to verify the status of a patient’s insurance securely over the Internet. This process was done verbally over the phone with an operator of the Insurance Company - Immediately saving our Front desk staff hours of valuable time.
KMG manages the day-to-day operations of 51 dental offices nationwide. They have 14 dental offices located in Central Florida – Greenberg Dental Associates. They have 13 dental offices located in Pennsylvania – Katsur Dental & Orthodontics. They have 3 dental offices located in Maryland – Ulery Dental & Orthodontics, and they have our newest location located in Las Vegas, Nevada – Colosimo Dental & Orthodontics. They also own and operate our dental laboratory Custom Dental Lab.
